This is the must visit for everybody who can really appreciate a well-crafted cocktail. The bartender's here are extremely knowledgeable and make some of the best, most complex cocktails I have ever had. Along with that and comes absolutely gorgeous interior design and superb ambience of the bar and lounge area. Tender Mercy might actually be one of the most transformative spaces in Dayton, and honestly feels better suited for a large city like New York City. Nothing else like it in Ohio. Reservations are strongly encouraged! This place gets bonus points for also bringing the high level craftiness to non-alcoholic drinks as well.

One of the best food experiences of our lives if not not the absolute BEST one! The food was superb, the service was great, overall was a fantastic experience. Highly recommended and is one of the must visits in Dayton. We left the place with a smile and food that we cannot forget. Start to finish it did not disappoint, KUDUS to the Chef and the great staff. The Bar: Service was GREAT! Drinks were good. But people were too LOUD, and when I say LOUD; I mean it. Seating is too cluster and the essence smell will cause a headache. People should try it and see for themselves. Valet is a FANTASTIC option.

I have visited Tender Mercy four times, and every time I am greeted with wonderful service, exemplary drinks, and an enjoyable atmosphere. The monthly residency menu is fantastic, their regular menu is excellent, and I find myself coming back every month to dry new drinks. This is my favorite experience in Dayton!

We’ve been lucky enough to dine at several of the restaurants listed among the Top 50 in the world, and the Omakase experience at Dozo absolutely holds its own. We were blown away by the quality of the fish and the creativity of the two chefs named Jake who prepared our meal. They were witty, engaging, and made the evening incredibly fun—truly a hidden gem in Dayton. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough.

A very cool spot tucked underneath Dayton. They have “kegged cocktails”—the three we tried were very good. The most stunning thing about this place is the atmosphere, art, and design.

Pricey, but totally worth it in my opinion. Phenominal meal when we went (it changes monthly!) with excellent sake pairings. The menu has: - One 4-course meal for $75, with optional wine or sake pairings for an additional $50. - Four chef specials, a la carte, prices vary. - A drink list. ...and that's it! Changes monthly.

Absolutely loved this place! The environment was perfect for our date night. Our bartender was very educated and helpful with our drinks, and made sure we were taken care of thru the entirety of our night. Will definitely go again!

I have been to Tender Mercy several times and today I was compelled to write a review! The staff here are AMAZING and work very hard to ensure your experience is nothing but positive! The bartenders are THEE most knowledgeable I have personally interacted with. Every time I've gone I have asked the bartender to make me one of their inventions and not a single one has been disappointing. I felt froggy one evening and ordered an Absinthe to observe its preparation. The most authenticly served Absinthe I have ever had. (I went straight to the moon! LOL!) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tender Mercy for a nice evening with a date, or friends! NOTE: Have yet to eat at Dozo, or from their menu. Also, these pictures are from awhile ago. 😉

Tender Mercy, which is located on E 3rd Street in Dayton, OH, is a fantastic speakeasy-esque cocktail bar in the downtown area! :-) Per their website, "A true midwest destination cocktail bar in downtown Dayton, Ohio. Tender Mercy is not your typical cocktail bar - we celebrate individualism and a classic avant garde sensibility." I recently visited for the first time with my boyfriend, and we had the best time!! First, the staff are so kind & attentive when you visit. We sat at the bar, and the bartenders took amazing care of us. In addition, their cocktails are so wonderful! Their signature cocktail, Teach the Crows to Smoke, is excellent - it's fruity with a little smoke to it! Of note, their signatures are all available on tap behind the bar, which I thought was so unique & cool for this type of space. Lastly, Tender Mercy's atmosphere is awesome. It's so intimate + romantic, which makes it the perfect space for a date night. I'm really looking forward to returning here - thank you, TM, for the hospitality!
